Product details

Praseodymium (III,IV) oxide; Praseodymium-III-oxide;  Praseodymium(III,IV) oxide;  Praseodymium oxide (Pr6O11);  oxygen(-2) anion;  praseodymium(+3) cation

Black powder, density 6.5g/cm3, melting point 2500℃, boiling point 3760℃. Insoluble in water, soluble in acid to form trivalent salts. Good electrical conductivity.

Used as raw material for ceramic glaze, praseodymium yellow pigment and rare earth permanent magnet alloy.

It is used in building ceramics and daily ceramics. It is mixed with ceramic glaze to make color glaze, and can also be used as underglaze pigment alone. The pigment made is pale yellow, pure and elegant in tone. Used to make permanent magnets. Using cheap praseodymium and neodymium instead of pure neodymium to make permanent magnet materials, its oxygen resistance and mechanical properties are significantly improved, and it can be processed into magnets of various shapes. Widely used in all kinds of electronic devices and motors; Used in petroleum catalytic cracking. The activity, selectivity and stability of petroleum cracking catalyst can be improved by adding the enrichment of praseodymium and neodymium to Y-type zeolite. Used for abrasive polishing; It is also used in the field of optical fiber.
