High temperature ceramic materials used in a device, or equipment, or structure, can withstand static or dynamic mechanical load under high temperature conditions. It has high melting point, high temperature strength and low high temperature creep performance, and good shock resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and structural stability. High temperature structural ceramics include high temperature oxide and high temperature non-oxide (or refractory compounds) two categories. As structural materials, metal has been widely used. However, because the metal is susceptible to corrosion, it is not resistant to oxidation at high temperature and is not suitable for use at high temperature. The appearance of high-temperature structural materials makes up for the weakness of metal materials.

In materials, there is a class of structural materials mainly made of mechanical properties such as strength, hardness and toughness. The appearance of high-temperature structural materials makes up for the weakness of metal materials. This kind of material can withstand high temperature, not afraid of oxidation, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high hardness, wear resistance, low density and other advantages, as high temperature structural materials, very suitable. High temperature ceramics is a popular appellation, in the field of professional and daily use respectively have different meanings.

Method for distinguishing high temperature ceramic materials from low temperature ceramics

Listening to the sound can be simple to distinguish, high temperature porcelain degree is good, the sound is crisp. But fundamentally depends on the size of water absorption, high temperature sintering ceramics water absorption is small.

Water absorption measurement method:

1, with a special instrument to measure (vacuum immersion).

2. Cook in boiling water for 2 hours.

3. Soak in clear water for 24 hours.

Either way, the porcelain is weighed first to get m0, then weighed after the experiment to get m1, and the water absorption rate is (m1-m0)/m0

Each measurement gives slightly different data, but as long as the two tiles are measured in the same way, the results are not comparable.

Everyday domain

In daily use and technology collection porcelain, high temperature porcelain refers to the glaze color that is burned with temperature above 1300℃, traditional porcelain such as blue and white under glaze and red inside glaze of our ancient times, are made with high temperature.

Ceramic enamel is silicon dioxide stable triangular conical chemical bond structure, only at 1250℃ above, there will be changes at the molecular level, so that the colorant stable placed within the molecular structure. Therefore, high temperature porcelain has irreplaceable unique effects in color, color, material density and other aspects.
